I was going to give NFS a chance down the road when its cheaper but by the looks of it, theyd have to pay me to touch that crap.

i not only hate EA but also the madden series with a passion. however if this game is impressive (when it comes to graphics, to me nothing else matters as i wont buy the game) i will admit it no matter who made it. for the sake of the 360 i hope this game (and many other) delivers on the promise of next gen presentation.

I'm sorry but its just hard for me to get excited over jaggie free NFL 2K5.
EA Sports just plain sucks, at almost everything. FIFA 06 is much better this year but all they did was copy the great PES/WE. They are pathetic.People will buy it because it has the FIFA license, just like people will buy the 2K rip-off known as the new Madden just for the license.

wow. I have been playing nfl2k5 all this time and never even realised the resemblence. I didnt know it looked that good. I must be missing something!

Art direction, you can tell they stole it from the 2k series. You right 2K5 was full of jaggies and only at the xbox's native resolution of 640x480. The new madden looks nothing more than a high res AA'd version of 2K series. Its like the difference between the PS2 version of Winning Eleven and the PC version. You know the difference between it running in 1280x1024 compared to the current consoles 640x480.

That's the first thing I noticed when I saw the screens a few weeks ago.
EgAy's doing the same thing they did by stealing Rare's Goldeneye art direction for their sorry ass Goldeneye Rogue Agent. And this came after successfully and consistantly failing to produce any good Bond games.

Like I said in the past, Madden has NEVER been about visuals.
It's the gameplay that seperated the old school Madden games from its competition. And it's the slow ass gameplay that's killing the Madden games of late.
Unless EgAy reworks the Madden gameplay, this is the same old Madden but with make-up

lol.............these "I hate Ea" threads are so entertaining cause it just seems like everyone is trying "out-hate" each other. There is no REAL flaming going on just everybody just mutually combining their hate to create one interesting piece of work. Lets see who hates EA the most!

It's 2k5 In HD ....They think they can buy the rights to the NFL copy 2k5 and everyone will forget.....not me

whoever hates them the most is someone who hasnt bought a game from them in years and has boycotted them.

last game I bought was andretti racing on saturn in like 1996. I boycotted them in 1999, and have stood by that.

I don't think there's anyone in these boards that despises them as much as I do.
Don't get me wrong, if they develope a game that's good, I'll be the first to tell you it's a good game (the Fight Night series for example. NBA Street another).

Madden is just wack compared to the 2K series.
I'd probably be playing Madden if it weren't for NFL 2K.
After all, it's still a solid football game.
But it lost a few steps when the polygonal era took over.
Madden in 3D was never the same, and nothing came close to the original.
That was until the old Madden developer came through and put together a football title worthy of the NFL license.
Playing Madden after having given the 2K games a shot felt like a step backwards.

I despise EA and I'm proud of it.
I have my reasons, my anger is the only thing they'll get from me
