I know how to use the program, but I want to know this.
If I have a new HDD could I just put a modded dash on it.?
You know, have the .iso contain all the modded files in it
and burn to xboxhdm, put my NEW 80gb HDD into the computer, and
just make the xbox drive like that.
If so where could I get the files and how to assemble.

That's what you're supposed to do.....

Run Kingroach NDURE 3.1, select your Kernel version under "Kernel Selection" and select "Create XBOXHDM Installer" - leave all other options at their default values.

Build your xboxhdm disc using the stock C from Slayers / AID / CASH (Slayers:\SYSTEM\All\c\, or AID:\Files\Dash\ms-c.zip, or CASH:\StockFiles\c\), and the Kingroach NDURE 3.1 files you just made. Rename Kingroach's ndure.htm to ndure (no extension), and place it in linux/ndure/ndure. Put the stock C in linux/C, and the Kingroach 3.1 files in linux/ndure (the Kingroach C and E directories and the ndure script should be immediately below this i.e. linux/ndure/C/ and linux/ndure/E/.) Put eeprom.bin in /linux/eeprom/

Connect your new hard drive to your PC (connect the Xbox hard drive as primary master on IDE cable 1, and your CD/DVD drive on IDE cable 2). Boot xboxhdm, select option 1 - boot VGA Console, then type xboxhd, and select option 1 - Build a new Xbox HD from scratch. Once that has finished select option 2 - Rebuild C partition on existing Xbox drive. Next select option 8 - Quit. Type xbrowser, run the ndure script, and select option 1 - Install Ndure [Install only ndure files]. Exit the ndure script. Reboot the PC, select option 4 and type lockhd -a to lock the disk.

So when I start the xbox it will be modded with evox or some other dash?
Last time I used xboxhdm, I made it unmodded (M$ Dash 5960) then used
splinter cell exploit to mod it.
But now since I can't find my memory card I want to know,
will it start modded if I follow the instructions posted above?

BTW don't have the eeprom.bin. But i have used xboxhdm without the eeprom.bin

Yes, you end up with a modded Xbox running UnleashX.

If you don't have eeprom.bin you can't lock the new disk, so you'll need to build an eeprom reader or fit a chip to get the eeprom.

There was a small error in my previous post.....

Run Kingroach NDURE 3.1, select your Kernel version under "Kernel Selection" and select "Create XBOXHDM Installer" - leave all other options at their default values.

Build your xboxhdm 1.9 disc using the stock C from Slayers / AID / CASH (Slayers:\SYSTEM\All\c\, or AID:\Files\Dash\ms-c.zip, or CASH:\StockFiles\c\), and the Kingroach NDURE 3.1 files you just made.

Type xbrowser, run the ndure script, and select option 1 - Install Ndure [Install only ndure files]. Exit the ndure script. Reboot the PC, select option 3 and type lockhd -a to lock the disk.

I built my xboxhdm 1.9 disc as explained above and when I "select option 1 - boot VGA Console, then type xboxhd" I come up with the following screen and am unable to select option 1.

The following drive was found on your primary master :
WDCWD3200AVJB-

Be sure that this is the drive you want to use as an
xbox drive or that is the drive you wish to rescue!
If you write an xbox partition table to this drive
all data will be lost...

Be aware of the following linux device names :

Primare Master : /dev/hda
Primare Slave : /dev/hdb
Secondary Master : /dev/hdc
Secondary Slave : /dev/hdd

Do you wish to continue ? [yes/no] :

I press "y" for yes
then press "enter"

it then displays

It doesn't exist by default on your Xbox. You find it wherever you put it when you made the backup copy. If you haven't yet made a backup copy then use Evox or config Magic to make a copy.

If your old hard drive has already failed then you need to build an eeprom reader, or fit a chip.
