I just ripped the game from my xbox drive, made the ISO, and burnt the ISO onto a DVD-R.

When I put the DVD backup of Soul Calibur 2 into the drive, it loads really slow.

How can I reduce the load time? Put a huge dummy file in it? The game is about 1.28 GB.

a dummy file would be a good start, but in order to get it fully optimized, you'll also have to recreate the original file layout on the original disc. check out this site for more on that.

I was about to backup SC2 but it looked a little strange. I only saw 4 or 5 files, no folders, but it all added up to 1.28 g. Is this normal? It's just that all my other games that I backup usually have some folders too.

Yeah, I think that's right, the size sounds about correct anyway.

It's been quite some time since I ripped that one, I think it was the first game that I did actually. cool.gif

By the way, you shouldn't have to dummy it, as I didn't dummy my DVD-R version and it ran just like the original, even when I had a Thompson. I think the problem may lie with the media that playa was using.
