The eeprom is flashed onto the eeprom chip on the motherboard, you can use configmagic or evox to back it up onto the hard drive on one xbox, then use config magic to flash it from the hard drive onto the eeprom chip on the other xbox.

You really need to double check all this in the Live forum or the Newbie forum - this is case modding. AFAIK, you can only use an EEPROM from a same-version xbox. A 1.0 eeprom can only replace a 1.0 eeprom. IF you don't know your xbox version, then search for one of the version-checkers.

^^^^^^^wow... why the hostility?
And I'm not stupid, my bro's have all have v1.0 too. Remember, I've been modding for about a year, I know my shit, just not anything about BIOS's and EEPROM's. And why the hell should I go into a different forum and post and wait for replys about one question, when I can just ask it in a thread that I already started about MY xbox. So if it's a question about My Xbox, then it should probably go into My thread about MY Xbox. It makes sense to me, and is alot simpler and easier....

Ok, I just finished putting in the blue 4 led 80mm 12v fan in the back, blowing out, and the 12v 40mm fan on the front left side, where the metal grating is (i cut out a square would it would fit in, then used twist ties to put it in.). It's all together and running on the Evox dash.

These are the system temps after 20 mins of running.
CPU - 135.9 F
MB - 100.4 F

Is that good? Bad? Decent? Basically, is it colder than normally?

I would post pics, but my dad ran off with my camera to work, so I'll have pics up later.

After about 40 mins, it's at
CPU - 140 F
MB - 104 F

How's that?

I don't think he's trying to be hostile, if anything he's helping you.
And the reason to post in the other forum about it is that more people in that forum will be able to answer your question then those in here.
But as everyone's said, you'll need a new EEPROM. If I were you, I'd be safe and go with buying one off Zodiac. He provides you with the EEPROM, and with step-by-step instructions on how to replace your old one. $10 is a small price to pay as opposed to 100+ for a new HDD if something goes wrong.

1st off, it doesn't matter that there are more ppl who can help me if I only need one to with one question. It was an easy question, and 70% of the people on this forum could probably answer it. Also, why pay $10 for an eeprom, if I can just turn on my brother's xbox, goto BACKUP EEPROM on evox, then ftp it to my xbox's hd, and use ConfigMagic to flash it? It's a simple process... a complete modding newbie couldn't mess it up unless he was just not very smart at all...

So thanx for your input, but I don't need it...

---------------------

Also, Does anyone have any comments on my system temperature? It's still at
CPU - 140.4 F
MB - 104.5 F
after a couple hours it seems...

Your box is looking good. Question...did your pro switch come with those color LED's or did you change them? I've seen quite a few switches with blue LED's and I hope to have mine the same way. Anyone know how hard they are to change?
