Yeah do that... take a backup then copy all the new files over the top of the old ones.
Except for XboxMediaCenter.xml which you should understand and merge into the new one.
What i do is use windiff.exe to compare ALL the xml files and either merge in differences, or just use the new one. It takes a little time but not much and is really worth it when the new XBMC boots up! BEEEYOUTIFUL
Ooh and don't forget to delete the XBMC save... delete E:\TDATA\0face008
when you say use the new one i could just make the backup, then transfer the xbmc folder i downloaded over to the F-apps-xbmc (where the current one is) and then click over write??? also would i need to rename any files for anything??
