Hey everyone,

I have just recently started looking at flashing my 360. I have been trying to read up on what i need to do to but it seems like that my 360 (2006 version) is too old and most of the guides and tutorials are already gone..

My current progress:
1. I have managed to open up my xbox and figure that its a Hitachi GDR-3120L.
2. At this point i got stuck as i can't access the websites with guides..
3. Right now i've been told about switching the drive to b mode by pulling the plug of the 360 as the drive is opened and reconnecting it.
4. Then i have to apply the ixtreme lt+ v2.0 for hitachi.

could someone please kindly link me or give me a simple guide?

Thanks in advance!

Your best bet is to use the jungleflasher tutorial which is in the documents folder of your jungleflasher download usually. That has a great flowchart which takes you step by step through the process for all drives. If you cant find the tutorial get this... tutorial

Thanks a lot mitchd2100, i have managed to flash my drive with the tutorial. pop.gif

Just a few more questions:

1. How do i test if my drive is flashed?
2. Is there a way to play games from an external hard disk with my current status?

The only real test to see if it is flashed right is to burn a backup of a game and see if it works (do originals still work???). I have no experience with external drives, someone else will have to give you help with that one.

If you do a search for "XDG3 burning tutorial" you will find lots of checklists on what you need and what to do.

No, you cannot use an external drive. You have a hacked dvd drive firmware. To use an external hard drive, you will need to do an RGH (Reset Glitch Hack), for which there is plenty of info on this website. Doing that is consierably more complicated then doing the dvd firmware hack that you just did.

make sure you patch your games with aBGX for whatever lt+ you put on there. It's kind of complicated. LT+ 2.0 is what you need. There is not a LT+ 3.0 for hitachis.
