Sony brings E3 to PlayStation Network
Posted by XanTium | 4-7-2007 20:57 EST

From psu.com:
[QUOTE]
Sony will indeed be bringing PS3 users up to date info via the PS3 Store. The company has put up a logo along the top of the PlayStation Store space advertising E3 coverage. As of now clicking the add does nothing but bring gamers to the home page so no official coverage announcement regarding dates, how the store will be updated, or how gamers will access the feature have been disclosed. Sadly since the pre-E3 event for Killzone is an invite-only closed showing, it probably won't be shown.

GOOD!

This is a good thing...

I loved the TGS, E3, etc. coverage that XBL offered at events past, the ability to play at home all of the demos that I would have been able to play on the show floor and see all the trailers that I would have been shown on the show floor really got me into the whole experience and IMO was a real value booster for XBL (the free part too).

This is the kind of thing that Sony needs to do more of. It shouldn't matter that MS did it first because it's a damn good idea, and there's nothing wrong with following the lead of a damn good idea. In-fact I wish they'd copy a few more of MS's ideas...
