trying to update new cygnos nand from 12611 to 13146 using new 1.1 toolbox it detects the chip but do I have to erase the onboard nand before flashing? when I try to flash without erasing first I get unknown nand flash device id 0xaaaa error reported. so I am clueless because the chip works..

Depending on the chip.But you don't have to erase really just read and then wright with the tool box.
