I know you cannot download and install media update but if you already have it, is there a way to update it with out connecting to live. (I know there was a nov 2011 update for it)

Also I wonder if you have it, maybe they update it when you update the dash?

on an unmodified system no there is no way to download it AFAIK the package is signed and wont work even if you put it onto the hdd

and no it doesnt get updated with the dashboard, i have put my live hdd onto a jtag running latest dash and media wouldnt work, had to grab the new one.

if you are offline, RGH the console and then you can do pretty much whatever you want.

I was thinking as much. But was hoping because I had the original media update, the update (to the media update) might not be signed.
