Hey guys I already have a 111D ---> 111L Buffalo 8.26 for writing but it is now time for an exceptional reader. I know from research that Lite-ON's are great readers, should I be looking for a specific model?

Get yourself a TS-H352C. You can get them on ebay pre-flashed for like 50 bucks. They work like a charm for all your 360 backup needs.

what are you trying to do exactly? rip x360 games? or scan the burn for quality?

if your are not looking to backup your game, only scanning then, any of the latet liteon will do: 18a1p, 20a1p or the previous 160 serie will do fine.

if you also want to backup game, you need to first read the pinned:
QUOTE
The only PC DVD-ROM models the can be used to rip entire games (including SS, DMI, PFI,Video and game partitions) with XBCreator (or Schtrom) are: IDE = SH-D162C and TS-H352C; SATA =SH-D163A and TS-H353A.
And every letter in the designation is important (i.e. SH-D162A is not good)
.

If you can find them the 160P6S is my recommendation. Once you flash it with the PV8D firmware it is a very fast ripper (fastest that I have owned), that and of course it is an excellent error rate scanner for DVDs. That is exactly what I use mine for anyways. wink.gif

liteon are not the best for hotswap unless you remove the top cover. The emergency hole trick usually does not work.
Since you have a Pioneer that are the best for wxripper, why not use that, or get a SHD162C to rip your games without having to get the SS with your X360?
just some options smile.gif

I'd have to agree w/the above Poster, getting a:

PATA:
Samsung SH-D162C
Toshiba TS-H352C

or SATA:
Samsung SH-D163A
Toshiba TS-H353A

Is your best bet

o-Bay is likely not your best bet though, I was able to find a SH-D162C for just €20.00(EUR), certainly a better bergen then the extortionate Prices to be found on o-Bay...
