He originally said that the person he bought it from heard a pop when it stopped working im sure it was one of those roaches chilling by the psu and touched one of the capacitors or something and BAM! straight to raoch heaven!! damn roach deserved it. If roaches ever got into my box I would spend the rest of eternity vanquishing the almight cock roach off this earth.

it's just bugs, i know it sucks but u got a $30 xbox outta the deal.

That's funny... Actually I have a quite similar story... while at the pawn shops I have them turn on all the boxes and open the dvd drives (looking for a sammy) well on this one trip turned on the first, phillips, turned on the second... wait turned on the second... yea it would not turn on... she tried all the outlets. gave up and said it was broke. Quickly I piped up and offered 20 for the broken box knowing that the drive alone is worth that. They accepted and I took home the broken box and a good box. Once I got it home I realized why it had not turned on... it looked just like that, full of roaches and roach crap... all the components inside felt like they had been sprayed with bugspray. So after an hour outside with a rag and some torx bits, I replaced the psu with one I had laying around and walla... it booted.

Good to hear that someone else had a good experience with roaches and xboxs like me

Man do I know the feeling. I attempted to mod an xbox that came from the bronx ( no disrespect to bronx residents) and this thing had roaches falling out of the box. It was plain nasty, I called up the owner and told him Id charge him double because I had to clean and mod his box. He agreed and it was my first roach box.

I live in the bronx and have never seen any roach infested boxes (thank god)... Lucky the guy was cooperative, though...

Anyway, this thread should burn.
