No More New Xbox's Options

okay i was looking on the popular gamestore sites, and im noticing something
M$ must have pulled the plug on production of the original box

now big superstores still have em (walmart, best buy, etc etc)
but at gamestop you can pick up a box for $100 , refurbished
infact thats all they have is refurbished,

Ah, alas the end is upon us. Lets just hope that a programmer somewhere has just cracked the 360's security that has long eluded our mod-chipping personalities. Xecuter has done a wonderful job of taking advantage of the knowledge available in making the connectivity kit. Lets hope the X360 chip is soon to follow. Then I would not be so hesitant to buy a 360. The only reason I haven't is because there is no alternative bios chip yet. Soon enough this egg will be cracked. To the programmers/hackers working on any 360 project, keep up the good work!

Oh well, i can still come across Xbox consoles easily if i need one. Pawn Shops will usually always have them. Sucks that no more 'new' ones will be manufactured tho i guess, but id take a used one from a pawn shop over buying a band new one anyways.

In actual fact you would need a new HDD as well as an eeprom if the HDD or the eeprom has been on live before.
Simply reformatting the drive is not enough. The esn of drive is tagged as well.
You can get a virgin eeprom from zodiak in the BST.

M$ stopped production a long time ago. I can't believe you didn't take notice. Hell, it was on the front page on xbox-scene.

You also won't find them for sale at any of the major stores either. Do a quick online search at wal-mart, kmart, circuit city, best buy, etc.... and you'll notice they only advertise games and accessories now.

Plenty of stock left in the UK still. There will also still be masses available second hand.
I still have a new crystal in the workshop. Chipped and tested it the day I got it and boxed it back up

this is false

circuit city had a stockpile of original xbox's until recently

for some reason, people from other countries (dominican republic, puerto rico, cuba, etc) have been buying them 3 and 4 at a time.. now we are down to one box left. depending on if the warehouse still has them or not though, we could still quite possibly get a shitload more. the more of them we sell, the more the warehouse sends. if theres tons sitting around that didnt get sold still, they will be shipped to us next week.

we also still offer it on the main website, which means our online store still has plenty in stock. which also means plenty of our actual store do, in case the online buyer decides to choose "in store pick up".
