Someone sent me their slim ps2 to fix and I have done a lot of researching and am trying to find the part I need to fix but I doubt I would be able to get the part I need unless I buy a broken unit off someone.

The person who gave it to me to fix said the piece broke out of it. Every time you play a game, you have to either hold your hand down really hard on the disc cover for the game to play or have a piece of tape over it.

Can anyone help me in the right direction on what to do and fix? I have never fixed a PS2 before but I'm sure it's not to hard with all the experience I have fixing Xbox's. I have the Zoo Zen Kit so I know I can open it up with no probs.

If I buy a slim replacement case, will that do the trick? I am not sure because I don't know if the seneor lid is apart of the case or the actual internal mobo. I am hoping it's apart of the case.

I hope someone can help me, thanks a lot.
