Layla, I ran into the same problem with my Samsung D162C. I created a back up perfectly. I placed a dvd burner in my system and tried to backup a game. I ran into the same issue as you. I found out the following information:

Secondary Master - Samsung D162C
Primary Master - DVD burner
Equals : ERROR!!!!!

Secondary Master - Samsung D162C
Secondary Slave - DVD Burner
Equals: PROPER COPY OF GAME.

Not to sure if you changed your configuration but this is what I found

Hope it Helps
