I recently tried to dump my nand using nandpro. It only dumped until block 00BF. I tried to jtag before but only got the e-74 error. I dont have my original NAND, as my computer hard drive crashed a while back. I did open up what NAND info i got in a hex editor and the cb is 5770, so it is exploitable. What i really need is the original NAND, but I dont know how to get it. Any help is appreciated.

When I check the NAND in Degraded, it says Bad File Length. Thats because when i dump the NAND I only get part of it. If I ignore it and continue, the command prompt tells me that it couldnt open the NAND file. If it helps at all I'm using this guide:How to JTAG your XBox 360 and run Homebrew

It wont let me write the NAND back to the xbox

So are you trying to restore an original image or put on a hacked dashboard?

You don't need your original dash to make a hacked dash. Just use a donor NAND image as provided by many GUI image creators. If you can pull your keyvault from your original NAND file, that will help things.

No. XeLL is the only way. The CPU key is built into your console, so you should be able to get it as long as the console boots.

I got the NAND to dump correctly. Then, after trying to flash XBR the cmd prompt told me it couldnt open XBR.bin. I compared the NAND dump with my XBR.bin and they look almost exactly the same. I thought that it might have XBR still on it from last time, so I tried booting the console.

I did this before and it gave me E-79 (in my first post I said E-74, but I meant E-79)..........which I'm still getting. So no, my console isn't booting. It seems a lot of people have trouble JTAG-ing Falcon motherboards..........

P.S. Should I just send this off for someone else who knows better to jtag?

By "as long as the console boots", I mean that the console is functioning and isn't RRoD, etc. It's obvious that it's not booting right now, but you'll need to flash XeLL to get the CPU key. Then you can get your keyvault (and maybe config, depending on the state of the dump) from the partial NAND dump/XBR image and build a new image from a donor NAND, then insert your keyvault.

Capisce?
