I am not really familiar with your money system, but I think that would be around $250 US? I use a Dell 2005 fpw and it looks absolutely fantastic on my PC via DVI @1680*1050 and with the 360 via VGA @1280*768. It has a great scaler in it and the images look very natural. You should be able to find one on ebay in your price range. You could also go with the newer model (2007wfp) but most guys have had better results with the 2005.

in a TFT monitor I don't think you'll find 1280x720... that's typically reserved for HDTVs not PC monitors

you'll have better luck finding 1280x768... if you're using VGA or HDMI you should be able to output at that resolution directly from the 360.

... also moving to HDTV chat.

Dells usually cost around twice as much in the UK. In fact, almost everything is more expensive here. Except bread.

$500 = approx £250. The OP's price range is £100-£150.
