I have a Samsung MS FW=28 that reads only DVD's and CD's, Games show up as Open Tray.

I have 2 Working Samsung Drives (parts from old repairs)
One is a MS FW=25
and the other is MS FW=28

I have tried the Board Swap on the MS FW=28 and I get PLAY DVD with I insert a Game.

"NEVER MODDED!"

So Im guessing maybe the board is bad too?

I know how to use JF for Modding any drive.

So my question is what are my steps in REMOVING the OLD Broken SAMSUNG DVD KEY and INSERTING it to the replacement SAMSUNG DRIVE in Jungle Flasher

And can I use the MS FW=25 aswell?

Cheers!!!

The drive needs the key from the xbox it is going into in order for it to work.
If you dont have this then you probably need to glitch the xbox in order to retrieve the key.

Do you have a GUIDE?

What are the STEPS to perform this?

Thanks!

Thanks.

But what about just Injecting the DVD Key from the OLD drive to the NEW drive via JungleFlasher?
Can this be done? If so, HOW?

Just "spoof" the data. You're not really spoofing the drive in the old sense, but just copying the DVD key. If you've really lost the key from the drive, you'll have to type it in manually after retrieving it via RGH/XeLL. If you're as experienced with JF as you claim, it should be no issue at all.

LOL, honestly, i am. I can follow directions perfectly and have flashed every Phat version drive 100's of times with iXtreme FW for friends and family, but never messed with altering keys or spoofing any drive, its always been hookup and flash, very simple thanks to the JF Team and Guide.
The JF Guide doesnt tell you how to "just" extract keys and inject into another drive.
I am certain its very simple compared to flashing, if not the same, I just don't want to mess it up more and dig my self further.

Thanks for your advice and suggestions I appreciate it.

I just love following directions. smile.gif

Seriously, none of us are 100% experts when it comes to modding. Asking us for help when you're not willing to try the given suggestions means that you're beyond help. All the questions you ask are in the Jungleflasher guide. It's got a friggin' flowchart! How much easier can it get?

As long as you have the DVD key of the original drive, then you can poke, prod, modify, screw, brush, and shake the firmware and STILL be able to recover the drive. So be more courageous and just GO FOR IT! wink.gif
