Alternate 5v for Universal S.P adapter Install Guide

Make sure you have read these manuals before posting and asking for any help!

ALSO:

Make sure the pcb sits flat on the adapter and the alignment washer sits inside the groove.
seen pic 2

Have in mind that the hooks must be fitted inside the vias not on the edge
see pic 5 and 6

Make sure u have correct alignment of the adapter

Just installed an SP Ice on a 1.6 w/ the adapter. Very easy and straightforward. So, my question is: is there a manual for any other versions? like 1.5, 1.4?

or is it the same?


I only find the 1.6 manual for the SP Ice w/ adapter

Ok,

I'm pretty sure I have a version 1.6b & I installed the sp adaptor, all the red leds came on, double checked the hooks were in the right place by refering to the install manual. My package didn't come with the place template? I turn off & put the chip on, the led that is supposed to turn off goes off, the mod chips red led is lit up, but it turns on & off a couple of times & frags? I take the chip off & my xbox boots up normally? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

I did a small tut on TeamXodus in the Installation forum. But basically it is the same as for the standard solderless. You use the black bottom half of the S.P. and the Xenium chip. The LED half isn't used.

so do you mean that the white peace with the 4 LED's that stick out your not suppost to use that on versions older than 1.6????

1) Is Extream Mods a safe site to buy from???
2) Since the older version xbox's do not require the white LED peace, is there a cheaper package that doesn't come with it???

2) yes, you can buy the older "USA" solderless kit from resellers that still have stock.. Have a look around.
