[QUOTE]
This small device will put you at ease for those for those hard to do 83850V2 and 93450 Liteon Drives
Maximus 360 Litekey

Below you can see a video demonstration of an earlier prototype wich is mounted OUTSIDE the drive, the final version (very similar to the one above) its designed to mount inside the drive.

Feature List:
original design based on the mra concept
-Smart mtk mode, no need to open drive to flip any switch, just boot your drive with tray open
-Rebuild board at 100%
-Zero intrusion to the drive when in "normal mode"
-Undetectable when placed in disabled mode
-Allows disable/re-enable without opening your drive case again !!
-Compatible with latest dosflash and jungleflasher
-Visual mode indicators
-Permanent-enable mode
-Minimal current consumption
-Quicksolder pads (noob friendly)
-High quality materials

Led Indicators:
* Green: drive booted with tray closed, litekey sleeps and allow normal drive operation
* Red: drive booted with tray open and litekey started mtk vendor mode
* Green-Red: the drive started with tray open but litekey is disabled, allow normal drive operation

Looks great!

Does it require any cutting?

That's the real question...

I guess it requires cutting still. The only way for not cutting is if you had to remove the epoxy on the Panasonic chip. he didn't say that you need to remove epoxy so I assume that you need to do the trace cut.

What we really need is a second MT chip so we can flick a switch, return to stock and take an update. And I still ask the question, what is the point of all this if we only need to dump the drive one time? Once we have our MRA method fw.. writing is 1-2-3.

Btw is it really necessary to include that incredibly hurting music track. I think it was okay for about a week... 6 years ago.

If you ever lose all your backups and info on your PC that you dump the drive, and wish to update when a new fw comes out, you need to dump the drive again.

Plus those flashing away with the new LT firmware release even on older liteon drives that could read the key via the "serial dongle" or the double-time open tray decrypt tray, will need to use the MRA method to be able to dump the drive in the future, as once the LT firmware is inplace, all the older ways of re-dumping the drive have been removed.

Did you not watch the video or read the description of it?

Hello,

I have one question:

Do I still have to extract the key with a Ck3 pro (using a probe, like at the first LiteOn's)?
Or is it enough to install this the Maximus 360 Litekey, put drive in Vendor Mode (and read key via JungleFlasher or something uhh.gif )

I haven't flashed one of the "new" Lite-On's yet.

Thanks.

Lite-On drives with firmware version 74850C need the probe.

The ones with firmware version 83850C doesn't need the probe

83850C V2 and 93450C- the ones included in Xbox 360s manufactured after August 2009- can only be dumped via the MRA method. The Jungleflasher tutorial has more information on this method but in summary, it's a complicated and tedious soldering job.

The Litekey supposedly simplifies the MRA method a bit so you won't have to bash your head on a brick wall if you run into problems.

Thank you very much for this information!

Maybe there'll be an easier method for the 93450C one day :-/

I don't want to cut traces on a brand new console . . ..
