Green And Cool!, I actualy finished something! Options

I've been working on this on and off for a few weeks now, actually a few months, but lets not worry about that.

It all started off when I saw some of DuckofDeath's painted shieldings a few months back and decided to do my own, but I ran into some problems caused by my rusty spraying skills. Several months and a lot of sanding later, I decided to try again.

By that time I had realized just how loud these bastard Xboxes really are, so I invested in 2 Vantec Stealth fans, which keep it cooler and quiter! That's one fan per Xbox, of course. The other one in still in the works.

So, several cans of paint and primer, and one new fan later you are left with this (click the thumbnails!):





Unfortunatley, I am in need of money now, so this is a project for sale. I'll put it up in the B/S/T sometime this week (no xbox time tomorrow, SCUBA diving!).

Opinions, please!

That is by far the sexiest clear xbox I have seen. I know its just a painted metal sheild in a clear case but the green just looks so awsome. What paint did you use? Mad props

i have a blue painted shielding on my crystal xcm, and it looks nice.

In fact, i've seen just about every color for the painted shielding... except for green. Heh. This definitely looks cool.

Actually, come to think of it, i haven't seen an orange shielding.

i dont usually rate painted shields...but that is real nice, the green is the sex.

you should try get your hands on one of the green pcbs from the black controllers, this is what i did and it looks far better than the crap beige one. Plus it would acctually match your case

The only metallic green I could find was some generic Halford's stuff. Not too bad though.

Amazing. This is exactly what I wanted to do and it looks totally sweet. If I could convince myself to drop 50 bucks on an xcm case I'd do this in a heartbeat
