Xbox Live Threat Provokes High School Lockdown
Posted by XanTium | January 25 11:26 EST

From 10tv.com:
[QUOTE]
In Pickaway County, police and sheriff's deputies stepped up patrols around Teays Valley High School after a serious threat was made earlier this week.
Teays Valley High School was on lockdown part of the day after disturbing reports that a student intended to bring a weapon on the school bus.

He added that they have talked to every student and spent hours investigating the rumor along with the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office.
According to Ashville Police, an unnamed middle school student told a California teen during an Xbox 360 Live chat on Monday that he would bring a 9 mm pistol to school. That teen's father alerted the FBI.

The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office said in a press release that a search warrant was executed, and the Xbox, a firearm (not a 9 mm) and other "items of evidentiary value" were seized.

I bet you anything that people are going to see XBL and blame video games.

I am glad they caught the kid though. Looks like he wasn't joking so much.

Good thing Hillary Clinton wants to ban all minors from playing these games! That will leave kids with nothing to do but play a wholesome game of Uno. blink.gif

Or instead of playing a "wholesome" game they will just kill people in real life instead of games. Go Clinton!

I just wanted to say that I too listen to rap, not just mainstream shit but that murder music from Esham, ICP, and Twiztid just to name a few. I also play 1st person shooters. Hell the GTA series is awesome too. I like to yank people out of cars and shoot em, then use their car to run over pedestrians.
Yet the thought of carrying those acts out in REAL LIFE has never crossed my mind.
To those that blame the entertainment industry for the fucked up youth these days, kiss my ass... then come up with another excuse for YOUR horrible parenting.

This is sad news indeed. What it really shows is parents areny paying enough attention to their kids add to the fact the media has become the babysitter and is doing a terrible job of it. I worry about the future of the Us some bads things are going down. Watch the video "america from freedoom to fascism". 9/11 had allowed the us to change in some very bad ways. Hopefully at some point the people of the us wil wake up and speak out about all of this. You need strong families and communites to be able to fight all of this.

I blame people like yourself, ones without a brain and common sense. Rap music has nothing to do with anything. That's like saying, I blame all satanic music. Still doesn't make a people bring a 9 mill to school.

Exactly.....people always try to pass the buck for poor parenting skills. My mom was a single mom and she knew EVERYTHING I was doing. If I was going over a friend's house, she timed me going there and when she called I better had been right next to the phone.
