Alright I have two Xbox's one is flashed I forgot what I used, the other is missing it's HDD for some reason. I have two different HDD I have one WD 500GB and another old 80GB both IDE. What would be the cheapest/easiest way possible to add a HDD to my missing Xbox's? If it is possible I'd either like a well written link or a video thanks, or it would be awesome if you could help me in the thread.

For the flashed Xbox you just drop in a new disk, cold boot with HeXEn / Slayers / AID, and use it to configure the disk and install a dashboard.
For the other Xbox, if it isn't chipped / flashed then you need to build an eeprom reader and use xboxhdm / Kingroach NDURE with the eeprom to build and lock a new disk (see the link in my signature - new softmod disk with eeprom for details). Alternatively you could fit a chip. |

.... and you will remain a noob while you expect to be spoon fed. Read what I've written, use that as the basis to do some searching (here on Xbox-scene, or on Google) for the bits you don't fully understand, then post back with some intelligent questions about any of the details you still don't understand.

Alright if your going to cop an attitude don't help me, I don't know what I'm suppose to search for since I've never done this before Google and XS pops open a ton of links and I have no idea which is the right one to go to. And I asked for a link to be posted as well. I'm not here to argue I'm here to get help why is it I always come across a guy like you on a forum that would rather tell me to search instead of helping me, that's what a support forum is for isn't it , not to be told to go and answer your own question your self geez. If you feel like I'm wasting your time then don't bother answering my questions and hopefully someone with a better attitude will assist me. |

The reason you always "come across a guy like you on a forum that would rather tell me to search instead of helping" is because of your attitude, not mine. I did help. You posted a question, I answered clearly and concisely, and gave you a link to read, and yet you posted your "I'm a noob, please spoon feed me" reply within three minutes, before you'd had any time to read the link, or think about the answer I'd given you. In other words, I helped, but you ignored the help and just asked the same question again - hardly likely to endear you to people. Consequently I'd suggest that the common thread in your "encountering people like me" experience when posting in different forums is you, with your requests for someone else to do your thinking for you.
You do know what to search for, because you know what you want to do and I've told you how to do it, so you search for a combination of terms from your question and my answer. And yes, you do get tons of links when you search, and guess what - you have to read and understand them, and maybe refine your search a little. I'm not here to Google things for you, and nor is anyone else, and you learn almost as much by reading tangential/indirectly related links as you do by reading links that answer your questions directly. Short version: I've answered your questions. If you have any supplementary clarification questions after you've done some searching and thinking I'd be happy to help. |

Slayers , I'm not even going to google that because it would probably come up with the band. and AID? I won't even go there. Your just being rude and I don't want your help. I asked kindly and you replied with an attitude so I don't want your help. If someone with a better attitude would like to help me, great I appreciate it. I'm done arguing about this. Now you could of posted me a link to were it had a tutorial and I would of said thank you and it would of been done. By the way how do you know I didn't search for Xbox help and xbox scene popped up. |

Reread my first post. You asked politely, I answered equally politely, then you ignored my answer and asked the same question again. Hence I wasn't being rude, you were, by not even acknowledging that you had bothered to read my answer or do some supplementary searching or thinking.
If you search Xbox Scene for HeXen you do get lots of hits for Hexen/Heretic games, but you also get lots of hits for Heimdall's Xbox Engineering Disc. Similarly, searching Xbox scene for Slayers and AID will give you lots of relevant results. If you read the Google help pages you will learn that you can use + and - before words to specifically force them to be included and excluded in search results, which then means, for example, that you could either search Xbox Scene, or simply Google Slayers +Xbox to find out more details. You ask how I know you didn't search? Well, if you had searched then you'd have taken more than 3 minutes to re-ask your question, and you'd have found a whole pile of useful links (tutorials, manuals, torrents, etc.) and would have then asked more relevant questions. |
