Evtool Settings Emulation?, Preview the settings to a hacked EvoX 8 bios? Options

I am new to the whole xbox modding thing (in fact I haven't actually done it yet), but I learned that a bios that will run with my planned modchip (DuoX 2 GS) is Evolution X M8+. I also learned that there is the wonderful EVtool that allows you to modify some basic settings for the bios, one of which is the startup colours (eg "X lip" "X lip highlights" etc.). I was wondering, is it possible to preview what my settings here will look like before I flash my bios? I want a red coloured xbox boot screen, but I probably won't get it perfect on the first go, and I'm not sure re-flashing my chip every five minutes until I get it right is a good idea.

EVtool doesn't have a preview function (not the version i use anyway). it's a very limited program.

if you are really interested in changing the boot-time splash animation, i would recommend iND-BIOS 5003.
the options to change the animation are overwhelming. you should see the rainbow bullshit that clutters my screen when i boot my iND box. you can even turn the blob into a spikey wireframe.

it also has a preview feature, but it never works for me.

the default image size is 256, but you can easily pad it to 512K for the duoX2 banks.

iND-BIOS.5003 and X2.5035 will both work for you, and both can be reconfigured without reflashing, because they read their boot config from a text file on your hard drive - so you can tweak the colours to your heart's content, but still only flash once. iND-BIOS.5003 works on 1.0-1.5 Xboxes, X2.5035 comes in two flavours - one for 1.0-1.5, and one for 1.6 Xboxes.
