hey everyone.

sorry because im sure this has been asked before...i've searched on the forums but every topic like this i saw didnt get a reply.

i have had no problems ftp'ing to my xbox before using flashfxp..a nic card, crossover cable.

my settings are perfect.

im not a newb i know exactly what im doing. it just stopped working.

the only thing i can think of is that my flashfxp trial was up so i reinstalled it...but all settings are still the same.

if it just started happening when u reinstalled flashfxp, then double check all your settings. make sure everythings plugged in like before and your settings for your network are as they were before

yeah all my settings are the same...

or so i think unsure.gif

but im almost positive.

and another weird thing is that i CAN play games through XBConnect without problems still....so i have no clue why i cant ftp to it..

im using 2 NIC's

yes i have a crossover cable as well..

i've been through all the networking troubles before so im pretty good at it now...and i cant seem to figure out whats wrong huh.gif

Sounds like your PC is trying to connect through the other NIC maybe. I had that problem before, so you might try looking at all your nic settings in DOS.

having the same problem!!

this is my third xbox that I've modded. So I seemingly know what the hell I'm doing.

I have all the IP addresses correct and all the settings

My crossover cable works fine with everything else

I go to hook up the crossover cable to the network adapter in the back of the box and nothing! My pc says the f*n cable is unplugged!!!! WTF! Can anyone help out?

Yeah and i have also tried using Smart FTP and Cute FTP and neither of those work for me either....hmm

and i've tried ftp'ing via internet explorer...


im completely stumped

Can you ping the XBox's IP address ok? If you can't ping it, then you don't have connectivity either because of a IP routing problem, netmask not the same, etc.

I have all my sttings right and can ping the ip of my xbox right but still can't ftp. It says connection failed everytime yet my xbox can serch my pc and my pc can search my xbox. I blame SP 2 for this mess.

In settings in flashFXP, click connections tab and aba half way down u'll c "Use passive". click this so it has a tick in the box. let me no if it works coz its off by default!!
