can anyone help me, my harddrive has turned faulty so i got a new one, but i have some important stuff on the old one how can i get it off?

If the drive is faulty and won't at least boot, it's unlikely you'll be able to recover the data. You could try hooking it up to your PC (see the applicable tutorials) to recover the data if it won't boot in your Xbox.
