Mine just aint cutting it
I recently bought the lite on 16x/48x dvd rom drive to use for the xbox, and it was sweet when i was first using it about a week ago!
Everything was working great, games were loading super fast, cdrw's, cdr's dvdr's and so on. But it just seems that now its not doing so well, some games in fact load slower, some freeze up, some wont even totally load up, even though it would load up like, an hour before hand. I have everything connected right and stuff, i read the tutorials.
It wouldnt even read a dvdr i burnt tonight, although the xbox drive did.
I even connected it to my pc, and checked it out, wouldnt recognize dvdr media i had, even though the other day it did, like a dvd back up movie.
does this sound like my drive is messed up? I dont get it, basically what i wanna know is, opinions of course, what pretty much works best with the pc-dvd rom drive method for the xbox? I heard lite on was good, it was, now its not, who knows. Could be a bad drive. But i want something real good, not expensive, like this, and that will work. It even has the latest firmware, sorry for the long post, im just fed up! Earlier it was loading tony hawk 3 fine, now it stops during the loading screen, i mite wake up and it mite work again, who knows, anyway, if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, really hoping to find a good one. thanks!
