hey i was trying to look in the contents of this xip file in winxip, but it didn't open. so next i opened it in a hexeditor, and saw that it had an XBE header. so then i gave it an xbe extension and ran it, and it was some sort of a hidden credits video. has anyone else noticed this?

Nope. Will try it out though.

I got the files from (you know who you are)... embedded in settings_adoc.xip.

There are several fileypes, none readable unfortunately, at least not yet (except for the bmps obviously). One of the bmps is cellwall.xbx and appears to be identical to the one in default.xip.

there are....
3 bmp files.
9 xtx files.
2 xdg files.
1 xfd file.
1 mdl file.

you've extracted that xip? whenever i try to open it, it doesn't do anything.

oh also, there are 2 settings_adoc.xip files, one in the C:\ root, and one in the xboxdashdata folder; i renamed the one within the xboxdashdata folder. what's really strange is that when i renamed it and ran it (through boxplorer) the size of the file changed from 4,208,200 bytes to 4,191,816 bytes. wierd.

this is acctually an easter egg put there by ms, I can't remember exactly what it was, but if you created a playlist with some name or other, it would automatically load. the thread on it is somewhere on the scene.

yeah i saw it. if you do let it run, it just says "xbox 2001" in the green bubble, and then it reboots your machine.
