My xbox is a v. 16 and my modchip is an xecuter 3. For some odd reason I have FlashBIOS 3.0.1 on banks 1 and 2. And on banks 3 and 4 I have FlashBIOS 3.0.3. I've tried flashing banks 1 and 2 with the flashBIOS 3.0.3 but it won't take. It goes through the whole yellow/green bar thing but it still won't take. I'm trying to get it to 3.0.3 so I can flash it with the x3_3029 bios. Can anyone help?

dude, even with 3.0.1 you can still flash it with x3 bios. you don't have to have 3.0.3

yea if you cant see it, how do you know thats whats on it? If you can use banks 3 and 4 then just flash the bios on that.

I've tried flashing banks 3 and 4. and in the middle of flashing it freezes and the eject light, blink green and orange.

Check out my answer from this thread...
X3 Flashing ESPECIALLY if you have a v1.6 box. Because you should be using the PLUS version of the bios you want to flash. and I usually use banks 1234 personally. Oh and it's generally a good idea to use Flash BIOS 3.0.1 for the Ver 1.6 Box's , I've tried Flash BIOS 3.0.3 and no luck at all. Maybe other people have better results. But not me. Are you flashing the chip with the X33029v16 bios? flash the chip either the first 2 banks on and the rest off or all off.

You know...me being a noob recently I know how confusing this type of thing is. The type of thing I'm speaking of is when I mentioned he must use the PLUS version of the xbox and (X3 3029 v16PLUS.bin) and the quote above is just mentioning the (X3 3029V16.BIN) BIOS. If I was the person needing help, and I read this thread...and then I go back and look at the contents of my RAR file and I see both versions in there...I'd be thinking...So which version do I use neotrin2000's or blind42's?? However rest-assured you use the PLUS version. I'd know cause I own a 1.6 Box and the X3 chip. |
