I've had my moded xbox for a month and half its worked great had no problems fitting the chip and the hd untill now I turn on my xbox with the chip on and the lights start to flash green and orange then the xbox turns off then again it does this 3 times till finally it goes red and green I turn the chip off and it boots up fine runs games fine it must be the chip.

I opened it up had a look no scratchs on the board everything fine not sure if it was in right or not but reset it anyway. try again and it still does the same thing.

Am I look at a replacement chip or is it that the DO point has burned out ? I'm new to it so I don't know much.

I would recommend trying to realign your chip. The d0 point may be miss aligned, it could also be the LPC port. It seems most likely that the chip isn't getting a sufficient contact on the dO point, you may consider taking the chip off and trying to remove alittle more of the coating on the inside of the d0 point. Just keep trying different stuff, I'm sure you'll get it working again and that everything is okay.

It is the lpc points not the d0 point. If it is fragging, the d0 is making contact, causing it to ground and look to boot a bios of the LPC points, that is where your prob is.
