went to staples today to get some art work printed for the control panel and to lowes for some plexiglass i got the plexi cut and the buttons and joysticks installed and thanks to my staples hook up i only paid 5 bucks for the art work AWESOME! will have more in the morning.

i am drawing up plans for a back panel that will hold the open power button and speakers dvd drive and 10inch lcd screen.
i am also working on a marqee and programing the custom dash and menu.the control panel is wired up and hinged on to the cab works perfect.i played a few games of xmugen and it is awesome on this huge screen you really have to be there to do it justice.picked up the stools today will get to customizing them last they were donated by home depot.

im sorry but i must have missed something. is the 10" screen going on the back of the cab to watch movies on ? whats the point of it being on the back ? im not grilling you im just curious

the controll panel will set under the tv not behind the cab the screen is for multi tasking and jukebox and because it just looks cool and i figured if i can do it then why not.i might even put a screen in the marqee just because it can be done and i havent seen any other cabs with it.

ok working on this today and i wanna do something difrent so i'm thinking of making a custom backlite marquee and hoseing the speakers into it with the 10inch screen the goal would be to intergrate them with the marquee art so it all blends in with each other kinda stealth untill you turned it on.the purpose of the screen other then just being badass would be for example if someone was watching tv i could still program and ftp and otherings without changing the channel.what do you all think of this idea?please leave input.

Looks awesome but for someone like me 6'2 it looks like something only for midgets or kids I couldn't see myself standing nor sitting in a chair to play that lol but like I said it looks good

LOL thanks my friend is 6ft 6 and we have been playing on this thing sitting down for hours he loves it i guess you would have to see it to get the fact that its fine for anyone thanks for the comment

on my way home today i stoped by a old junk shop in the city i talked to the owner about a old arcade cab i saw out back he told me it was trash and i could do what i wanted with it.so i took a look at it and salvaged a awesome coin door with keys coin mechs and all best part FREE!!!.what a lucky day today turned out to be.

well worked on the coin door today and i got alot done i had to take the hole thing apart and rewire it there were a few screws missing but i had some old ones that fit perfect i cleaned all the parts and put it back togather riped out all the old wires and put on new ones.i wired up the origanal lights to 12 volts and they still worked!!!.then i wired the door to the joysticks coin buttons and it worked perfect!!!.my plan is to build a box for the door that matchs the cab and can be moved if need be i also will be installing new keys and locks will keep the origanal coin bucket here are some picks from start to finish.

ok guys need to now what you think about this idea...since my mediacade is a sitdown cab and media center i decided to make the coin door its own box so i can remove it if need be and use it as a drink holder ect.i am gonna build the box and make it match the cab thinking of putting movie marquee and side art on it and the front of the cab kinda like this. i will be using ikea color changing lights for the light effect. i figured it will go with the theme of the cab if the art work was both movie and arcade art.let me know what you think and as far as the coin box goes here is a idea of what it will be this was made by a fellow modder.coinboxmine will be a little bigger since my cab is full size.

ok so i went to the flea market on sunday as i always do and i found this awesome old toilet paper roll holder that was the exact same deminsons as the coin box i wanted to build and i got it for a dollar AWESOME!...so i got it home and got to work on it i plan to put movie marquee art on the sides to match the cab i'm useing nylon black wrap with this cool chrome nylon so it should bring the side art out nice here is what i did so far im still working on it so these are not the final pics i have to run pout and get more nylon and side art printed.






still have some work to do on it but so far so good

What resolution are you running the dashboard at 720p widescreen? How did you change Xmugen's resolution to get it to work?
