Hello

I have drive issue i think, i have a Firmware 1.4 ms28 drive which has been working fine for about a year now.

But a couple of weeks ago the drive kept loading games to a black screen, if you pressed x button on joypad you could here the menu sound but the screen stays black.

I brought a dvd cleaner cd and tried this on it but it did not see it as a dvd disc.

So i updated the software to the new ugly version of the interface, and then it detected the dvd cleaner fine.

So i ran it and then tried some games and they been working fine, even last night i was playing a game on it but this morning i went to play rock band on it, and it did the black screen and unrecognized disc try cleaning it thing, and could not detect that the games were games just said play dvd etc..

Tested with
Burnt backups
Orginal Games
DVD's
Dvd Cleaner

Still no luck!

i looked on ebay to see if i could get a new drive as i think the drive is dead, but i noticed there so many different makes now, what would be the best one to go for that is easy to update firmware, would any make workin in my xbox or would i need to get the same ms28?

Any help would be great, missing my xbox fun!
