just a quick post to say thanks for the reply chief.
At the end of the day, sticking with the tv thing is cool if thats what u want, and as u say it is xTV. I will still follow in on the skins development, and who knows maybe it will become my default once more in the future.
Oh yeah, I use the SVN, is there anyway I can get the last proper build of the skin prior to the introduction of the tv shows bit form there. I usually just click SVN update then run the build.bat.
Thanks anyways, and like i say, keep up the good work!

You can revert back to any revision number you want. But like yeahwhatever and I said, I am in the middle of making an option to disable the tvshows button and replace it with a weather button.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work on the xTV skin. I've been using it as my default for a while now and look forward to future builds.
How do I stay updated to the latest builds? I don't have any experience with svn's... Would I just manually download the files from the sourceforge link and overwrite my current files?
Personally I love the link to TV shows and movies being separate (I've just got TV in library mode and Movies in non-library with movie posters named "folder.jpg" in each folder). Having Weather on the startup page, and possibly a link to AMT would be cool. Oh and in List view of TV shows, just having the show playing as the thumbnail since zsori doesn't have many ep thumbnails would be great. Otherwise it's been flawless in my experience.

For those of you who are having probs with the TV Shows button, you probably need to make an AdvancedSettings.xml file to assist your XBMC with show matching (that file doesn't exist until you make it).
I like the zsori tv database. If you're using it, make sure your shows are named the same as they name theirs.
Who else uses TortoiseSVN? I haven't had the chance to play with it, but I'd like to know if it's the best option to get the latest xTV builds.

I've been working on a background for xTV and tweaking the view modes for the past few days. I hope you'll take on my suggestions.
The centering in all of the views was off and took ages and ages to adjust (I don't know much about doing this, so it was a big pain in the arse literally).
The one thing I changed the layout was the music-file list. I modified it to make better use of the space (see picture) - why did apple have the album text left-aligned? I put it in the center and have moved the cover + artist/genre/year down some more.
I made a nice background to take care of the dead space top and bottom, I really couldn't use the original black or just a single, flat image. Inspired by PMIII.
Some changes in the xpr too, including a stretched folder icon, a darker button for the selected key on the keyboard and a different wide icon focus box.
Tested mostly with my 4:3 telly, and included the .xmls for you to use. The 16:9 ones are also in there, but I haven't tested that properly.
