Alright so for the past 3 months i have been exploring and learning how to softmod xbox for me and my buddies. Just a little back story: I fried my own xbox's hard drive trying to hotswap it. I Have successfully modded 1 box out of 3. (including my own.)


Here is my problem: my friend screwed up the MS backup while messing with the softmod installer. So i can't find the file eeprom.bin anywhere on the xbox. And i can't swap my hard drive out without it. (that I know about anyways.) I succesfully have used XBOXHDM on a previous box and I really need the boxes eeprom. What can i do?

Problem #2: My own box need a new harddrive. I never got the eeprom from the OEM hard drive before it got toasted. How can i go about that? Thank you guys!

Ok for you first problem.
If the xbox is still soft modded just backup the eeprom again. Either by running the soft mod installer again. Or by running Evox or some other dash to backup eeprom. You could also hotswap. But as youve learned allready hotswapping is risky.

For probem to. The only thing you can do is either get a modchip. or a eeprom reader. I dont know much about the eeprom reader but ive heard about it on here. It mite be called something else.

That should be it. how big is the .bin file? Im not sure but you mite need to rename it to eeprom.bin in order for it to work with xboxhdm.
