As title says, I need help updating the firmware for a Samsung MS-28 spoofed to Hitachi.

Do I treat it as a Samsung or a Hitachi?

whatever the label says it is, treat it as that.
But using jungleflasher it's as easy as letting jungleflasher take over, it'll recognize that it's spoofed.

Sweet! Thanks! So, to update the Firmware, treat it use the MTFlasher or whatever it's called and just use the 1.6? Or should I use LT? Or something? I searched for agood hour and FINALLY found a single link to get 1.6... right now Ithink I'm at 1.5

ix-ltv1.0-sammy.bin
LT 1.0 for samsung, there is no plus for that drive.
What revision hitachi is it spoofed as?

if it's 59 or lower, ap25 isn't needed, so all newer games will boot fine.
if it's a 78/79, you'll need to go back to a hitachi because the xbox will be expecting ap25 command responses.

Thanks a lot, Takashi. You've been a big help. I'm not sure. ATM I'm not able to check, I'll be able to check tomorrow.

But I have a question, since I am running what I'm pretty sure is iXtreme 1.5, and I updated my system (Went to the new Kinect Dashboard), is it normal for my Xbox to freeze up intermittently? I can't play a game for more than 15-30 minutes until it randomly freezes. No tell tale signs either. Like, no lagging, it'll just freeze and nothing will happen.

Is the old firmware causing the issues? Or is it the new update?

So it is FW 59.

Do I unlock with MTK Flash 32 VIA Sammy Unlock, and write using MTK Flash 32 as well but use Hitachi FW?

No, samsung fw for samsung, hitachi fw for hitachi.
You need to read the jungleflasher tutorial.

Samsung unlock, click yes, power cycle drive like it asks,
read, save backup somewhere, say yes to auto loading LT
write flash, outro, done

Okay. Thanks, man. I read the JF Tutorial, but I didn't see anything about spoofed drives. I wasn't sure if there was an exception.
