I have xbox version 1.0 and I'm getting the X3 but with that version the place where you put them has solder in it. I went and bought desoldering braid, and took all of that out. I was playing my xbox after i put it back together and it turned off. Then later I went and played again. Now it turned off and started flashing orange. What can I do to fix this. Oh and I havent installed the chip yet so dont get confused.

yo could have ripped a trace somehow, or had to much solder on ur iron and maybe u got some splatter

well... i just had a pin header install that quit working for a friend of mine... resoldered the header and nothing... so i finally ripped it out and used the wire install and it worked. just fill back in your holes and you might get lucky... there really is no way for us to help you without seeing it.

i believe trace rips/lifted traces only frag, and the power/eject light flashes red/green seperatly...so orange i dont believe is a lifted trace. correct me if im wrong but i dont think i am.

yup, thats a lifted trace....near impossible to fix if you dont know what your doing. appleguru traded for mine and managed to fix it, so see if he can help you out.

your xbox is fragging.Umm, under tuts i think or somewhere on the main page of x-s it will tell you the differnt things and just look for frag, and check what it could be.
