Ffxi Mp Question Options

I've only just started playing the game so bear with me here.
The manual tells you a lot about how to connect to PlayOnline but not a real lot about the game itself and some of the things you need to know.
I chose a Hume Warrior, I have plenty of HP's at level 6 now but no MP's.
At what level will I get magic points in this job or because I'am a warrior I wont get any?
I find that hard to believe because in other FF games no matter what character you were you always had MP's.
Do I stop now and change into a Red Mage so I can cast spells and fight with weapons?
I've brought scrolls/spells but with 0 magic points I cant use them.
Do I have to do something to raise my MP's up from 0 to start with?
I thought they would increase with each level up but no they are still on 0.

as a warrior, and especially a hume, you will get crap for MP....

Thanks mate for the info, will check the sites out......maybe I can be a Red Mage as a sub job, that might do the trick.
I dont really want to start again if I have too.
