Hey guys my brother has a ps3 that i fixed with a heatgun and AS5, worked for a few months then died again. I know that the possibilities of dying are from 1 day to 1 year. Since then i taught him how to fix it yet he only has a hairdryer but does use AS5. Since then he as repaired it maybe four times and has lasted maybe a week or two every time. My question is do you guys think the CPU GPU are going out or do you guys think that the reflow is not getting high enough temperature?

I wouldn't think the hair dryer would get hot enough to do much good, if you don't have the proper equipment then heatgun and flux might get a few more months out of it...
