So i was thinking (and this probably has been talked about before) but do you all think; or has it been proven. That games like Fable2, Halo3, GTA4 are only going to be coming out on Xbox360 and Ps3? Not that it matters much too me cuz i have a 360 (obviously) but what about people who don't.. thats abit slack if you ask me. What do you guys think?

Also i read somewhere on the forums they don't make Xbox's anymore (say it isn't so!)

What does this mean? Are you complaining for others that don't have an xbox 360 because they won't get to play Halo 3? Bungie can't develop a game for the xbox 360 AND the original xbox, what would completely nullify Halo 3 as a system seller. They are trying to move their whole installed base to their new console and they do that by releasing a bunch of kick ass games only on that console.

Plus, why would anyone want a PS3?

I wasn't talking from the bussiness side of things, i was talking from the side that people who maybe can't afford a 360 or can't have one for whatever reason are missing out. And saying that bungie can't make a game for the 360 and put it on the original xbox is silly, i mean can't they just port it over?

I said about the Ps3 because of GTA4...

No, they can't just port it over. The game itself will require far too much processing power from both the CPU & GPU. It's being made from the ground up for the 360 exclusively for several reasons: to get more 360s installed, and to take full advantage of its processing power. Any attempt to downgrade it to the Xbox would fall really flat, as the games wouldn't be the same.

If people really wanted a 360 they could get one. Get 2 jobs, get a credit card with no interest for 12 months deal, put in with another family member. There are always ways.

Thanks for your input. Now that I actually put 2 and 2 together i realise all the extra features the 360 has over the xbox.
Which would make it hard to port it over. I must've got the porting thing mixed up in my head when i realised Need for Speed Carbon came out on xbox and 360...

To BoNg420, yeah you could do all those things, but you make it sound like as if these people NEED to get 360's.
What i was trying to get a across is how average gamers are (like myself used to be, and of coarse everybody was at one point)
saying "this is bullshit, i just want to play a game not upgrade and buy a new console."
I dunno, maybe i don't see the gaming industry as i should.

We provide a service, we choose the medium on which we deliver that service. Ultimately if you want the service you buy the hardware required to play the medium.

the end.

Well by the time H3 comes out, the 360 will be almost 2 years old by then. That doesn't feel that bad, compared to if they had released it much sooner. At 2 years after release most have already upgraded to a 360 and those that haven't, H3 just gives them that much more incentive.

All the whiners here keep forgetting that gaming is a luxury and not a necessity. As far as not upgrading - what do you drive a 1983 corolla? And your pc you typed this on hmm... I'm guessing 33 mhz. Yeah, don't upgrade. rolleyes.gif

Unfortunately, as soon as the 360 was released M$ and most games companies dropped the original xbox like a bad habbit. It would have been nice if they carried on supporting the old faithful for a while. I guess when you're in the bussiness of making money your old loyal customers are the last thing on your mind dry.gif

The only thing that has kept the original Xbox alive is the modding scene.
