hey i modded my xbox with splintercell with no problems but im trying to help out someone but when the get to the part where you click run linix it freezes his xbox... does it matter what splintercell you use? like the serial number? cuz his is the original splintercell

Yes the original Splinter Cell (PAL version) will work just fine to softmod with.

He might need to use a smaller gamesave (to gain FTP access and put the real gamesave on) or copy the gamesave onto his memory card/AR again, AR is known to sometimes corrupt saves.

what softmod installer are you or your friend trying to use because I think with Krayzie Ndure Installer you would need the PAL version of the softmod for it to work and also make sure that Splinter Cell is not a "platinum hits" collection or whatever your equivalent is in the UK.

I don't really know much about the SID softmod, but I do know that it would be a better idea if you tell your friend to use Krayzie Ndure Installer v1.1 because if your friend runs into any problems with softmodding he would have a bigger support base here. Not saying that SID is a bad installer, I'm just suggesting your friend use Krayzie's because it's more user friendly and pretty much dummy proof.

To get this softmod you would need to go to xbins. Here's a tutorial on how to access this site. Oh, and yes, make sure it's the PAL version of the softmod.

k it worked smile.gif im from canada and i sent him the files i used and he lives in the uk, do i found him the pal ones and it worked.. he installed unleashx though and i told him to install evox since its the one i use.. what are the benefits between the two?
