Well this is my Daily Driver right here. She has 2 USB ports, Stock Seagate HDD (currently under construction), XBMC, Surreal XXX Beta, and THUG on the HDD, External Hand-Wired PSU, Custom Hand -Made PSU case construted from cut parts from the bottom half of a Xbox case, lowered about 1" 1/2 or more(Im not sure, never measured), I have 2 custom cut 60mm stock Xbox Fans, and a S-Type Halo 2 Contoller with custom painted Analog Rollers to match the Moutain Dew theme/color, custom Mountain Dew paint and logo from an actual Moutain Dew 2-Liter bottle. I've had it done since March sometime, but I never got a chance to show it off because I still dont have a Digital Camera. Im going to be buying one soon though. Anyway, here is some pics of how she looks so far:

Alright so this is my plan: I have 3 Motherboards sitting in from of me as I type. 1 is a Version 1.0, 1.2-1.3, not sure, and the one inside the Slimbox is a 1.5 I believe. Now, I have a few options here: Either I can proceed with my Eeprom swap which in this case is not possible because I've read where people say that both motherboards have to be the same versions and the only way to swap any version chips with any other verion is to convert the Eeprom, which takes alot of skill, that I dont feel like getting involved with right now. Now I have 3 motherboards and their mathcing HDD's but I have 2 that have no A/V ports on them. So Im thinking that I might just unsolder the A/V port from the 1.5 on the Motherboard in the Slimbox and solder it to one of the other motherboards and voila, a working Xbox! So now, Im going to figure out if my PSU will fit on one of my other motherboards. I'll try to get some updated pics up once I figure this out a little more.

All 3 of motherboards dont have A/V Ports, I just wrecked my l;ast one like 30 minutes ago trying to swao it onto another motherbiard to place inside this Slimbox. so now Im just doing alot of research trying to figure out how to recover my Xbox. lol (Man this shit sucks not having a working system........lol)

Update: Well I managed to put together my 1.2 Motherboard. I modded it with the Standard AV mod courtesy of JaredC01. So I tried to power it up and it gave me the 3 green flashes, then the Christmas Lights. So I let it sit for a while while I was researching some more on here. Then I tried to turn it on, and now it's flashing green one time and powering immediately off. Now Im wondering what now? Any tips, thoughts, ideas? Thanks.

Why is my HDD beepng? Then the Xbox shuts straight off. It's not clicking, it's beeping.

hard drives usually have a beep when the read/write head over-shoot position '0' and hit the side of the spinning motor axis. I had a 320gig HD that did that from day one. I would have to guess that you are having a power issue, maybe a blown cap or bad transistor on the PSU. At least, if it was me, I would start with the PSU. :/

EDIT: good luck and good job on the case.

Thanks. Well as you can see in the PICs, the PSU was wired Externally, which shouldn't matter. But that's weird how it makes that beeping noise. It's the Seagate doing that. When I plug up the oher Seagate or the West D, that doesn't happen. I know the PSU is good, because I checked everything and it all seems to be in perfect working condition. All I know is that whenever I try to turn on the Xbox, it flashes Green once then shuts off. Can you explain that?

I Dremeled off all the fins, then sanded it down. No Bondo!

I'm still leaning towards bad psu IMO. A transistor does not have to have visual defects when it goes bad. You can test them using an ohm meter I think, its been a while for me. I would say just google your issue and see if it comes up with anything(?). Also, process of elimination is great for troubleshooting, but w/o another PSU then you can't really test it that way, can you smile.gif.

Still, not a common issue, and I can't be much help.

I just checked he PSU, it's a Foxlink which doesn't have a fuse. It's good. Now the Xbox is powering on, but Im getting Christmas lights. So now Im trying to wor that out. Hopefuly I can get thing back up and running. Im getting closer. Oh yeah, opne more thing, the AV seup is keeping the Xbox from flashing ORange/Green, but It's not showing anything on the screen. So Im going to try and flip the board and see what's going on with that.

Update: Man Im trying everything I know to get my Slim back up and running. This shit is killing me.. I've tried switching Motherboards, AV setups, AV mods, Eeprom Swaps, PSU checks, everything man. From here i dnt know what' going to happen. I think I've reached my peak. I dont see no way out. Here's hat I have in my possession:

1. Version 1.0 without a AV Port, I dont know which HDD goes to it. The motherboard is ruined around the AV Port area from soldering, I dont have a 1.0 PSU so I cant fire it up. It's basically fucked.

2. Version 1.2 without AV Port, it has the Standard AV setup soldered to it, I used Jared01's diagram, with the switch, dont know which HDD goes to it, everytime I turn it on, nothing happnes, it flashes green the shuts right back off, I hav the 1.5 Su on ittrying to fire it, it's basically fucked.

3. Version 1.5 without AV Port, srewd up motherboard in certan areas, the Seagate that goes to it was the reason Im even going trough all this, erased the entire E parttion and I didn't back up the Eeprom, the only thing in the Eeprom backup folder is a SID5 file, it's basically fucked too.

Man Im so pissed right now even typing this out. Then on top of all this, Im sill waiting on my Waver so I can deloy. Man if anybody need some parts, go to my BST. Im done.
