I have a xenon jtag that died recently. I sent it in to be repaired. (rrod) (the jtag has the new kinetic dashboard)

When the repair was completed and tested I was told the drive plays dvd movies but NOT games. (prior to this I never had an issue with the drive and was able to burn games from my dvd drive to my HDD)

The repair person is unsure of what the problem is, and since I have ZERO technical skill or know how I decided to bounce this off the experts smile.gif

When I hosted lobbies, I used flash360 tool , and when it asked me to put in the dvd key, (which I have of course) and the selection I made from the drop down menu (OSIG) was toshiba/samsung TS-h943a ms 25

Yes I have contacted the seller of the jtag but as of yet no response.

What are the possible problems/issues? Could it be the fact I updated to the new dashboard? (I never put a game in the console under the newest dashboard)

If anyone could help with ideas or suggestions that would be appreciated, and I'll link this thread to the repair person too smile.gif

It sounds like somewhere along the line the DVD key got changed.

Ether flash the drive with the proper DVD key in your nands key vault or change the DVD key in the key vault to the one your drive has.

I gave the repair person my freeboot image, dvd key and cpu key. I also gave him the original nand.bin file. Do you believe the new dashboard has anything to do with the dvd's drive inability to play games, even though it can play dvd movies fine?

thanks for any and all input...
