It's possible that the problematic XBox's temporary partitions (X, Y, and Z drives) are full or corrupt. If you have a way to format those partitions, I'd try doing that. (Just be careful.)
Yes, be sure to backup those partitions before formatting.
I once formatted those without doing so and lost all my saved games. (well I was a noob at that time)
