The paint jobs a bit messy cause i was using the mangled case to see how the different colors would look on the external drive.

have you any more updates on this...

i would like to see the connectors that youre gonna use on the back of the 360, im looking at doing tha same kinda thing with a hddvd drive case but the 360 its for has an xcm chameleon case and i really dont want to butcher it much.
i was thinking another hdmi connector but soldering the pins on the back of it just isnt doable. so im looking for any clever ideas

Since I have no clue, I will just ask. Why wouldn't you just run the wires through the game case behind the external DVD drive? That way they will be hidden and much cleaner in appearance.

Updates include:

1. I've sanded the external enclosure back with 1200 grit sand paper. Haven't repainted yet but am almost ready to do so.

2. Ordered and Received the internal to external connectors. Including:

Esata Cable - esata to sata 1m (pictured) and 1.8m
Esata bracket - internal sata to external esata connector
internal to external connector dvd power cable

IPB Image

3. Made the case mod for the new consoles connectors look

IPB Image

I've decided where i am finally goig to mount the internal to external connectors on the console. They will be mounted above the network and usb port on the top half of the back of the console. So that it looks neat i have decided to replicate / mirror the case shape around the usb and network port so that the internal to external connectors look good. Here is an illustration of what i want it to look like.

IPB Image

Also I've decided that i'm going to wait till i get a jasper model though so that could be afew weeks to afew months away since i'm in Australia and they still quite rare.

When i get it and start i'll post more updates and pics.
