Do you really need to wire up a transistor on the blue wire?

I am bumping this for finalman's question and/or to ask him directly if he's done this yet.

Anyone?

Wondering about the Slim diagram, if it'll work. Resistor shouldn't be a problem, nor the transistor -- Would those just be the same people have been using on the phats? Resistors might need some experimenting.

Also, is the Slim board as pictured wired correctly? Willing to try this myself and post results.

w00tnezz's no I haven't attempted this yet as i'm waiting for the transistors to arrive also i'd really like an expert to confirm this is safe just before I attempt it on one of my new corona boards.

I've got a dead ebay slim on the way aswell and if I can get it going I might try this on it.

Would it be possible and safe to use the two +12v rails and 18awg wires on a atx 24pin power supply to supply all of the 12v supply on a v1 jasper motherboard?
