Alright guys i think i f**ked up this time. i chose the option to format large hdd in the AID program(disc). and now i have no way to access anything on my xbox. it is softmodded with the evo x dash, and now when i turn it on i have only two options, launch dvd and system settings. it still plays backups, but i dont have any programs?? i launched the AID again tried to reinstall the softmod with no avail. i can use the file manager option in AID to see what is on the hdd and i still have the apps, but just no way to access them. Anybody have any idea what i can do at this point?

If you have the option to play backups, then I would burn a dash with built in FTP to a disk. I fully recommend XBMC.

Once the new dash is running off the disk, you'll be able to ftp in and install it onto the hard drive.

if you don't know how to make an XISO with XBMC, then try downloading a slayer's ISO from torrents or something (whatever you use).

burn the *.iso to a compatable disc media.

insert disc, then ftp to the IP address on the screen.

you can re-build from your ftp session.

to ftp in windows

open a run box (start, run)

type "iexplore ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" where xxxxxxxxxxxx is the IP address.

when it denies you access, right click on the ftp window to choose "login as"

enter "xbox" as the user and the password (sometimes this differs)

after gaining access, you will see your xbox's file system.

just drag and drop like it's any other file explorer window.

as a side note,

how is it that anything is left after formatting the HD?

this should have wiped your hd.

did you abort before it finished?

sounds like ur booting into evox. but it seems that the evox.ini that got placed on ur hdd has been stripped down.

since u see settings go into network and setup it up so that u can ftp into ur box copy ur evox.ini onto ur pc and edit with ur favourite text editor.
