I got my new 200GB installed and now I'm wondering if there's something I can use to organize all the backups I'll be placing on the drive. I read a little about Quix, but from what i gathered, Quix is only used to transfer game images back and forth and doesn't actually have a GUI. The way I understood it, Avalaunch is the front end used to browse and boot the games on the Xbox. Maybe I'm wrong. And since I only have a softmod I ddon't think you can use Avalaunch on a non chpped Xbox. Maybe I'm wrong again. I just started learming about all this stuff a few days ago and I'm so tired of trying to figure things out and learn new information about the process.
I tried out XBMC on my softmodded box and it appears to be able to do what I want, it has too many features I don't need. Of course, I suppose I could just use Evox/Boxplorer to boot my games, I'd really like to have a nice GUI for browsing my games on the Xbox and preferably something that I could add box art to go along with all the games. Again, I could probably dig some info up on this myself, but I'm SO bunred out on reading about softmods and learming about it, maybe someone can just give me some quick words of wisdom instead. If it matters, I modded with Xboxhdm and UDE, and I'm running the lastest Evox dashboard. This site has helped me a shitload already and I think it's great that there's such a good resource for Xbox info. When I get my 360 down the road I'll definitely be coming here for all my info. Thanks in advance. |

You can use any dashboard with a softmod.
XBMC may have too many options right now, but you will want them in the future. Use the MC360 skin with it. It makes thing a lot easier to manage. |

Thanks for the info. I decided to just stick with Evox after all. I guess I can live without box art. Evox is simple, easy to customize, easy to make skins for and does what I need it to do.
