Slim Liteon Dg-16d4s 9504 Update, Few questions about updating.. Options

Hello Everyone,

I have Slim Liteon DG-16D4S 9504 (manuf: Feb 2011) and its already flashed, I have never update my xbox and don't know how to do it.. now the Lt3.0 is out and I would like to do as I can not play the new games.


I have been reading loads for past few days but still I am not sure what tools do i need to update my Slim Liteon DG-16D4S 9504.

If anyone can send me step by step guide with the tools I require it would be really helpful.


PS. I have a desktop pc with SATA port and a Laptop as well with USB card. my $gb Slim Xbox manufacturing date 21/03/2011, I bought in Jan 2012 and it was already flashed..

More than likely, you'll need either an X360USB or a Lizard.

It'd be a little surprising if you didn't already have LT+3.0... are you sure you don't have this?

Thanks for your valueable input.. Lt3.0 is the lastest update and released recently as per my knowledge.

Would you be able to tell me how i can check that also the pdf guide i read tells me to restore original firmware which i dont have as this machine was already flashed when i bought it.

I want to have proper guide before i do something.. I read that if i go back to stock there are chances that i can lose cd key.. Correct me if i am wrong..

Also what is lizard n xbox360 usb for??

You can read your DVD Key even if it has already been flashed. Just flash the original firmware over first then update the console then flash LT 3.0.

I managed to update it but I am wondering if I can update via USB in future??

Also I m on lt3.0 but whenever I switch on my console it says to update.. However i just cancel it and play game..

Have I done something wrong while updating or I am missing something?

No you will always have to open the system and reflash it.

Yup you will always have to open it unless you get a maximus blackjack.
