I'm very impressed with the scripting ability of MXM.

I've made a few different recovery DVDs for my friends, each one different. ie. skins, apps, hdd setup.

One of my friends lost his recovery DVD and decided to use one I made for a different box. Needless to say it didn't go well. Different setup and hardware caused an even bigger mess.

I'm just looking for a simple way to have the DVD verify itself before it runs. Security is not the point. I know the contents can still be accessed. I just don't want my moron friends screwing the boxes every few days and running back to me.

I want to use MXM as the front end booter on the recovery DVD.
Basiclly, I'm looking for a way to fetch somthing, a string or number, unique to the xbox possibly a serial number and have MXM verify this before it allows them to recover.

Any help, I would be greatful.

found the global variable $SerialNumber$ which fetches the box's serial number.

simple.

Anyone want the script of how I did it? PM me.
