Best Buy is going to offer pre-orders only for Reward Zone Members. They will get an email "soon" I was told when I asked an employee last Tuesday. I hope he wasn't lying.

i think m$ will do a lot to get a shit load of system out there (they know they need to sell a lot between launch and x-mas as that the main buying season and will help with there install base, that way ppl don't have parents say "it was sold out but i can get u that or a ps3 for ur b-day"). i think that for the most part, unless u live it like nyc or sumtin it woun't be a problem, between target, wal-mart, best buy etc. in ur town u should be able to get one on launch day (maybe not at mifdnight tho). the sweet spot for getting 1 will be like after 1 week of lanuch and b4 2 weeks b4 x-mas. then they get restocked after the inishial rush, but not sold out again by all the frantic parents getting them for there kids. i mean im an avid gamer and love xbox but i don't see the benifit of getting one at 12 am and then playing till 6am then goin back to school (depending on the release date). i can wait 3 or 4 day to play some great games on a great new system. although it would be nice to get the day off it not nessesary....

it has to be day one. when i got my first xbox i got it from best buy day one. there are no 24/7 walmarts around me for some reason. i never really liked pre orders always have a bad time with them. as much as i dont like them i would rather try to be safe but just cuz i pre order doesnt mean ill end up getting one.

aepuppetmaster that day is a holiday. everyone at work knows i wont be there that day. i know they will try to get as many systems as they can out but i think no matter how many i think they will sell out.

yeah u maybe right bout there being a rush, but 3 plants churning those things out, granted for all the world (but basically europe and north america). not to mention the fact that they will be building them in antsipation. i remeber reading in the newz paper that they had this whole thing planed out. like i said 3 factories, and a great distribution scem, i think there plaing deliveries at least 2wice a week if not 3 times. but ur right, iono what i was thinking, i must play quake 4 release day <drowls on self>, who gives a fuck bout school and sleep!!!!!!

Meh... screw all these pre-order bundles.  I'm not even going to try and pre-order now.  I'm going to walk into one of a dozen local Wal-Marts at midnight and get one.  Seems easy enough (in theory anyway smile.gif)

the problem you run into is the "in theory" part blink.gif

i paid in full cuz they said we would be the first to get in and out with it. it took me over 2 hours to get mine cuz they let the people who paid in full go last.

NinjaSokudo your right. that is if everything goes as plaind. no troubles when making or shipping. there are a lot of things that could go wrong. i dont know if its better if they say they think they will have plenty or say nope we will run out so better get them now. the 2sd is my fav ebay here i come. didnt sony do something like that with ps2 saying they were out of them or something.

the PS2 did actually have a shortage... because they couldn't manufacture those crappy Emotion Engines fast enough. tongue.gif

I knew people who pre-ordered and didn't get it until 3 or 4 months after "launch"

Honestly why not get the budle, you get an extra control if I understand correctly, (which is wireless, 30-40 bucks) and you get a HD to save your games so you dont need a mem card, another 30 bucks. I know you get some more items in the bundlle but those 2 reasons alone in my mind make the bundle worth it. Yes there is still a 30-40 dollar difference, but when you get a game that requires the HD or need a 2nd card BAM.

If you really are barely able to afford the launch price than why not wait for the price to drop before buying a next gen system unsure.gif

well i will be getting the $400 xbox so i wont need a memory card. the 360 is for me if other people want to play well they can get there own control. (ill get controls later but i would rather spend money on games right away then a control) i want to get extra 360's to sell. anyone will be able to get the games and controls so it doesnt add much value. usally the bundles have games that i dont want so for me its a wast.

No bundle Option From ritz camera. $20 more than retail, but no tax, depending where u live it could be cheaper to buy from ritz, but u must consider shipping.

mine would cost 426.00 with tax here in St.Paul MN
