Hey all,

Well, seems to be the story of this forum - ive been trying to update my firmware for about 12hours now.

I have a liteon drive, a VIA SATA chipset and the CK3 + probe.

I managed to extract the key, inquiry, etc.

Whenever i try and put the new firmware on, with my key inserted it goes to "Writing Bank 0 ..." and never moves on.

I then go into do dos and use L-O-Eras.exe to get the drive back to being empty.

I have tried a good few different ways of flashing the firmware (Jungle, dosflash16 + 32).

Am i missing something? I feel i have tried everything obvious.

Let me know if anyone needs any more details - forgive me for missing any, I'm very very very tired now :-)

well, out of sheer desperation. i really had no where else to go.

I put the SATA card into another computer, and set it all up in there.

Tried writing the firmware, and it worked in about 5 seconds flat :|

GOD DAMNIT!!!!

So if all else fails, and you're 100% sure you are doing it all right, you probably are, and its the computers fault!

Thanks anyway guys. Especially chickan who helped me exhaust every possible way of trying to fix this smile.gif
